Mr. David Tini joined the Lancer Marching Band Staff in the Fall of 2017. A graduate of Slippery Rock University, Mr. Tini holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education with an emphasis in instrumental performance and a minor in Special Education. Mr. Tini joined the Loyalsock Township Music Department in Fall of 2017 as the Loyalsock Township Middle School Band Director. In this role, Mr. Tini directs the 6th Grade Band, 7th & 8th Grade Band, the LTMS Jazz Band, as well as teaching instrumental lessons and general music. Prior to joining the Lancer Marching Band Staff, Mr. Tini served as Assistant Band Director at Slippery Rock High School for three years and High Brass Specialist with Norwin High School, BOA Champions, for two years. Mr. Tini has studied trumpet with Dr. Stephen Hawk, Mr. Joe Herndon, and Mr. Chad Winkler, and conducting with Mr. James Berry and Dr. Stephen Barr. Mr. Tini continues to serve in the 28th Division Army National Guard Band, playing trumpet in the 28th Division Concert Band, Marching Band, Brass Quintet, and featured regularly as a soloist.
